Outside emails, listed separately
The external sharing risk group lists every email outside your company domain that has access to your Drive, each with a file count and role: viewer, commenter or editor.

Select one or more emails and revoke access to take them off every file at once. Google Drive doesn't notify the people you remove.
How to build an external sharing report for Google Drive
- Scan your Drive. Install the Wistorix Chrome extension, sign in with your Google Workspace account and run a scan. Scanning is free.
- Open external sharing. Review the list of outside emails, starting with anyone who has edit access.
- Revoke what's no longer needed. Select an email or a file and revoke access. To give it back, share again in Drive at any time.
Who counts as outside your organization
On a Google Workspace account, anyone whose email isn't on your company domain counts as external, including employees' personal Gmail addresses. Personal Gmail accounts have no organization, so everyone you share with appears in the shared files checker instead.

Do I need Google Workspace admin rights?
No. Wistorix scans the Drive of the account you sign in with and doesn't need admin rights.
Does revoking access notify the outside person?
No. Google Drive doesn't send a notification when you remove access. They just can't open the file anymore.
Do employees' personal Gmail addresses count as external?
Yes. Any email that isn't on your company domain counts as outside the organization.
